Tackling Period Poverty in Women and Girls
& Raising Cancer Awareness

Welcome to Her Health First Asia
Empowering girls and women through menstrual health, education and opportunities.

For many girls and women in underserved communities, basic personal health needs—especially related to menstruation—remain unmet due to poverty, cultural taboos, and lack of resources. At Her Health First Asia, we work to change this by providing safe products, life-changing education, and pathways to dignity and independence.

Join us in creating healthier, safer, and empowered futures.

About us

Our Story

Her Health First Asia began in Pakistan at our Girls’ High School founded in 2000. Over the years, we recognised that many of our students and women in nearby sewing centres faced serious challenges during menstruation. Lack of sanitary products, poor hygiene, cultural silence and no private spaces.

In 2019, we expanded our mission to directly address these challenges. Today, we provide menstrual products, health education and practical skills to help girls and women manage their periods safely and with dignity.

Our work continues in the UK through Health/Cancer awareness sessions, expert-led health talks and support for women in need.

A world where every girl and woman can manage her health with dignity, access education without disruption and pursue meaningful opportunities for a better future.

We want to help South Asian and diverse communities learn about cancer and other health issues. Our goal is to make sure everyone has the information, support, and care they need to stay healthy, get early screenings, and make good health choices for themselves and their families.

In addition, check our handmade products in our shop made by our supporter community, The Cross-Cultural Hub. We are very excited about the opportunity to provide vocational training for 50 women as Midwives and Health Visitors from the sale of the products. This two years training will help them become self-sufficient and secure dignified employment.
